Consolidated Personal Site

Posted May 31, 2009

The new site is up. This time I am doing a better job of linking my other media sources. For too long, I have had different profiles and bits of information scattered about the online wilderness. Here things should be a tad-bit more organized.

Please sign up for my twice yearly newsletter if you haven't already (there's a quick sign-up box at the bottom of this email as well). This is a nutty summary I put together to update everyone on my life, some cool stuff I have found, interesting tools out there and other tid-bits. The first one will go out mid-June.

I am putting together a cloud-hub page as well, so you can get an idea of what software I use to manage my life in the cloud.

Browsers, Bookmarklets and Weight Gain (Recent Updates):

Been experimenting with different browsers lately. Opera was an interesting try for sure. It feels noticeably faster than Firefox and Safari, but the page transitioning is a bit choppy and the interface needs tweaking. Now I am trying out Flock and so far I am impressed. They seem to have taken the good things from Firefox and made it a lot more clean.

And a few weeks of browser juggling brings me to my next topic:  I am a big fan of bookmarklets now. Used together with Evernote, Delicious and Digg, those little bookmarks of java goodness make it super easy to transition from one browser to another / one PC to another.

Personally all is well. Just trying my best to gain more weight (I am still a bit under weight). Work is going well. Still busy, but I am starting to get the hang of things (I better be after almost 8 months in the job). Still exploring how to improve and continue learning.

That's all for now. Remember to keep learning!
